Just checking in to let any former D Company (Ranger) 75th Inf. who check this guest book that several of us that you served with in Vietnam are in contact with each other and would like to have you join us again. As the current unit director all of my contact information is listed on the association Home page. We have also added several in country pictures and also some photos from the last two reunions to our web pages on the association web site.

If you would like to hook up with Old friends please contact me any way you are able. I have had some success locating some old D Company members through the Internet and plan to continue.

My father was in the 2nd/75th when I was a junior in high school in 1984. We made a lot of friends in the 75th. I realize more now than ever, what an impact this group has had on my father and our family.

Also, I was wondering if there was anyway to find out if a fallen Ranger has any kind of "fund" set up for his kids, if he had any. He was my boyfriend in 1985 and 1986 and didn't make it home from a mission in 2000. I just want to know if he left a family behind and if so, if they needed any sort of help that I could provide annonymously.

For those of Rangers who was heading to Panama, 18 years ago today, All the Battalions left the U.S. not knowing what lay ahead. We all fought, some fell, But I think we all knelt and prayed. For those of us still alive, let us live for those who died. And let us all have a toast for the Rangers in the Sky. Rangers Lead the Way!!!

If anyone can put their hands on Pat Tadina (TAD) do so and get him to contact me via email or a phone call. I have not been able to catch up to him in a few years. Tell him it's the only way he will get the 20 bucks he loaned me 30 years ago at the bar in Germany.

Rich Martin, one of our own, is in the hospital--having experienced a cardiac issue last weekend. He is in the CCU but his wife, Barbara, tells me he is coming along . . . a little cranky & able to give orders (cookies for the nurses, etc.). This tells me that things are approaching normal. I will remain in contact with Barbara Martin and keep friends advised as to Rich's progress here thru the LRRP.COM website.

I just had a quick question for anyone that may know the answer---- I was stationed at the 1st Ranger Battalion (B Co. 3rd plt. 3rd spd) and upon my ETS date was given one of the prized ranger skull plaques with all my awards and citations and a quote my teamleader SGT Townsend made up for me. It was one of the things I treasured and over the years in all my moves accidentally left it hanging on a wall.... You know how it happens you say I'll leave that til last so I can be careful with it.... well I ended up leaving it and the landlord and new tenants "claimed to never have seen it" which is complete bull**** because I have pics of the cleaned house with it still on the wall. I broke my own heart that day and was just wondering if anyone knew how to get another--- I know it won't be the same, but it will be a reminder of that time and the comradery that we once shared... thank you so much and god bless our troops.

Anyone who hasn't been to one of our reunions you don't know what your missing! This was my first and God willing it won't be my last. I ran into guys I haven't seen in36 years and they made me feel like I never left. The treatment from my fellow company brothers and the Regiment Assn. was fantastic.I actually felt like I am someone special after years of being treated like a criminal. I recommend all Ranger Brothers to join the association and hope to see you in 2009 wherever we meet!

Checking in and enjoy reading comments from all.   We all check this site to see if any of our team members have posted a message. The posting that I enjoy is when Rangers new to the site check in. The next time that happens, lets all send them a welcome even if the person is/was not in your unit. If they were in your unit, do not hesitate to respond even if the name is not recognized. Remember, most of us were giving nick-names.   The above message is my thoughts on keeping 75th Airborne Ranger Inf Associating strong/united/supported and keep the memory of all who server our country proudly.

Benjamin Church, America's "First Ranger" was a cousin, and from his day to this day, the dangerous job never changes. My undying gratitude flows to these men. We slept at night in Nam because these men volunteered to be awake, much too far from anything passing for safety. Beiong human, we want to forget, tend to forget. We must not forget. Forgive them their human scars and hug them tight to your hearts.

As for the exact start and end I do not know but the unit was at the same barracks ass the 9th Cav of the 9th Inf when I first joined them. Be advised that Duncan Hunter did serve as 3rd PLT LDR during 1970-71 while I served as 2nd PLT LDR in Co C (RGR), 75th Inf (ABN) in Nam.  I think he was the only officer who served in our unit and was not a tabbed Ranger.  If you ever read my book, Of Their Own Accord, you will get a sense of my opinions....

Rangers, If you weren't at the event at Columbus/Ft.Benning, GA you miss on a great experiences. Bunch of Lost Rangers came out of the wood line, but there is still another bunch we haven't seen in over three decade. Today Ranger Regiment always ready and eager to accomplish whatever mission, I saw that at the Blood Sport event (that what I call it)with the Regiment. I thought we were brutal when we go against a entire Post during our period in time, it is twice that when you go against your own. LOL

We older Rangers were quite impress of the entire events of our younger counter parts. If you miss this year, make a point not to miss the next one! Rangers,..Do Lead the Way!

My wife and I recently completed a book called "Faces of Freedom" which profiles one fallen servicemember from each state who was killed in Iraq or Afghanistan.   100% of the proceeds go to Wounded Warrior and Fisher House.

Two of the soldiers featured in the book, Nino Livaudais and Bradley Crose, were members of the 75th Ranger Regiment. As this is an all volunteer effort, we are trying to spread the word and would like to get information out about the book on your website or in your unit newsletter. Any help would be appreciated for this great book. For more information about the book or to order a book through the printer, please go to: rebeccapepin.com. Not many posts since July this year. Is there no one reading this BB? We still need folks to serve as State Coordinators for all states. If you would like to volunteer, (Volunteer is that a nasty word?) Then please let me know. We need folks to attend funerals and visit the sick and wounded Rangers, LRP's and LRRP's. You would present certificates to family members, Present silver coins and assist as much as you want in getting the family settled. The families are so very thankful that they have someone that has been there and done that as their soldier did to explain to them how we are really a brotherhood. It is a very rewarding endevor.

Please let me know if you are interested and I will get all the nformation to you so that you may make a final decision.

Well, how is everybody? It's been a while, much time has passed. I now work on the high seas as a U.S. Merchant Marine. I'm on loan to the Navy under Military Sealift Command(MSC). I'm home at Fayetteville, but will be going to Piney Point USMM Base, Maryland for more schooling as a Able Seaman. I have to be there tomorrow to attend the course and take the U.S. Coast Guard test. If I pass the course, my pay will go up 1000.00 more a month. There is no age limit. If you can make the Boot Camp Phase and Apprentice program you can go Deck, Engine or Galley. I'm Deck Department. I just completed 5 month in Africa and UAE as a (Specially Trained)Ordinary Seaman. It is under AFL-CIO Union and if in combat you get combat pay, beaucoup overtime. I have met 2 SF and 3 Rangers in the Industry. Promotion is great so is the pay. If you need work you might want to try this out. I will do it for 5 years then retire again.

Rangers Old or New, The gathering is near and TOT is final, looking forward to see some lost rangers that will finally show up after so many years of a break of contact. It is a time of recharging our friendship that started for so many of us a very long time ago. It also a renewal of new friendship especially with the present active Rangers in the Regiment. Like so many of us that served with the Regiment in one form or another, from another era to another, there is a common bond with a bunch of Rangers. As for me I get a kick out of the Old WWII type Rangers still standing and being in a room full of Rangers and being a Cherry and a Museum piece at the same time. See ya'll there! At the time my heart was with my plt, I just couldn't not have my Plt not trust me.

They wanted to send me home 4 months early from Iraq, I begged to stay and ended up getting an ARCOM for giving 50 cal classes to our camp. Plus I also was able to sneek out for a few more gun truck missions. RLTW Will Mathers

I was a Platoon Leader with 1/61st Inf (Mech), 5th INF Div on the DMZ. Our unit participated in quite a few insertions and extractions of P/75th Rangers teams around the DMZ area.   We were mechanized infantry equipped with M-113 APC's. We would conduct insertions by covertly "leaving behind" Ranger recon teams while appearing to conduct mech/armor operations. Extractions were provided many times while the team was under fire.

Incidently, my company (A/1/61st) was involved in the rescue/recovery mission for Ranger Team 1-8, P/75th Ranger when the Huey that was inserting them was shot down (NVA 51 Cal.) pre-dawn Sept 20, 1970 just east of FB Alpha 4/Con Thien (KIA: Apellido, Gallina, Gray, Ritchie, Sides from P/75th Ranger and 4 Huey crewmembers from C/158 Aviation, 101st ABN)... we had an additional 2 KIA (NVA mortar fire) from our unit on that mission including my good friend & fellow platoon leader (1LT Richard Stube). By the time the sun rose on 9/20/70, a total of 11 from the 5th Div had been KIA. Not a good day.

Welcome home.

I am looking for anyone who might have known my fiance Sgt. Spec. 4 Roger Wayne Patton who was based at Bien Hoa Airforce Base in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. He was assigned to the 503rd Infantry Regiment. I don't remember the battalion number. He received basic training at Fort Lewis, Washington, paratrooper training at Fort Benning, Georgia. I don't know the exact date but around January 1967 he was still with the 503rd but was also accepted as an Army Ranger.

As far as I know, from what Roger said, he was going on a two-week mission near the DMZ in March 1967. In July 1967 his brother told me that the Army had notified the family of his MIA/Presumed Dead status.

Roger grew up on a cattle ranch outside of Ellensburg, Washington and I was a student at Central Washington State College. Recently I have not been able to find any family members. If anyone knew Roger please contact me by phone (removed--contact webmaster) or through my friend's email (almanuelnw@yahoo.com).

Served in C, B, & HHC Companies while in 1st Ranger Battalion. Wednesday, April 25th will mark the 27th anniversary of Operation Eagle Claw. I will pause to toast all my Ranger friends from "Hard Rock" Charlie Company to whom I had the distinct pleasure of serving with and to remember the fallen comrades who perished that night in Iran. Never forget the past and we owe Iran a big time pay back for the 444 days of pain, torture, and suffering that the 52 hostages endured. Support our troops who are serving in harms way and remember: Rangers Lead The Way!!!

God Bless all Rangers past and present! 27th Anniversary as my former roomate and Ranger Buddy Lewis posted. Hooahh! 27years ago this night a bunch of Rangers along with other Sprecial Opns. Warriors attempted the impossible, a raid to rescue the hostages in Iran. Little did we know the challenge our leaders took on. Little did we know how hard and difficult it would take be successful. But we knew alot about Leading The Way! We trained for 5 straight months and we went having the Guts To Try! Little did we know we were at the beginning of the birth of Modern Day Special Operations. Our failure that night turned in to future successes since up to today. Our prayers are with those Special Opns. Warriors & their families, who made the ultimate sacrifice in carrying out a very complex and daring mission. Rangers Lead The Way!! Jim Kinney Golf Team, LZ Landing/Extraction Team, Opn. I attended my first LRRP Reunion in Colorado Springs last year and enjoyed seeing old face again and meeting new faces. I was fortunate enough to be on GO #1 for the VII Corps Lrrp Co. Abn along with Maj Maltese, 1SG Paddy Flynn and myself. I served in SF as an enlisted man and help pioneer HALO. I served three tours in VN 5th Gp, 1st Bde (Sep)101st Abn Div. and the 4th Inf. Div. I love to return to Ft Benning as there are many memories there for me. Would love to hear from any who have served with me.

Do any of you old B co guys remember a LT Patton 82 ? Does anyone know how Tony Davis is doing. A co 80/83 we were in basic, AIT, Airborne and RIP together. C co. Remember SGM Cruise. Anyone know how he is?   Didn't have a great run in the battalion but in my 45 years its still the most memorable thing I ever done. short run in the 80's RIP then on to A co then a busted knee on the Rock.. then off to the 2 x 4 returned in 82.. for a return trip to RIP then on to C co WPNS PLT. then a back injury first part of 83.. and then down to Stewart to range control with a few old rangers Mark George FO. and a number of others that I have forgotten names. army retired me at 30% in 85 VA bumped me up to 100% because of back in 93.  I wouldn't change a thing . . . proudest time of my life was the short time I spent on HAAF with the 1/75th.  God bless all rangers.

I came in-country in November, 66' and was assigned to B Co. 121st Sig Bn at Phu Loi to fly radio relay missions for the LRRP detachment which at that time was part of D Troop (Air) 1/4th Cav. In May of 67' I was transferred to the LRRPS at Phu Loi and then sent to MACV Recondo School at Nah Trang. I was the distinguished graduate of my class R-5-67. My Recondo number is 661. The LRRP detachment was then sent to Lai Khe as part of HQ and HQ Co. 1st Inf. Div. to work directly for the G-2 Col. In the Fall of 67' we were designated as a company of the 75th Rangers. Thank you for the opportunity to add to the guest book of the 75th Ranger Regiment Association. My father, Dwayne B. "Bud" Parker, was a Ranger in the Pacific during World War II. Like most of his peers, he was extremely reticent to discuss his war-time experiences. We do know that he participated in the Marshal Islands campaign, was at Carlson Island and Kwajalein, Leyte, and the Phillipines. He also was in New Guinea, and, I believe, China and Burma. However, he was always extremely vague about the latter. One thing we do know is that many of the ops he participated in were behind enemy lines and conducted by squads of 7-8 men. Unfortunately, my Dad passed in 2002 before I could ferret out the actual story of his service. Any help that anyone could provide me in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the wonderful service you provide.
Gratefully yours, Dennis Dwayne Parker

Haven't kept in touch through the years since my ETS, but would very much like to touch base with some of my old buds. God speed and you boys that are still doing it are kicking some serious ass. Keep it up and Rangers Lead The Way.

I was with the 3779 LRRP 63-65 first at Wildflecken then to Edwards and finally at Gibbs. Sgt Harris was my team leader and SSG Bobby Knight was my best friend he was in the commo plt. Cannot think of the bar close to the Army Hospital but had a FEW beers. When to France with the Co. on the 20th anniversary of D-Day.

Hello. I would like to ask for the assistance of anyone out there that could help me find Adalberto Rodriguez. We served together in B CO 3/75 Jan 92- May 94. I lost contact with him several years ago. I even hired a private investigator to no avail. Last I heard he was living near fayetville, Puerto Rico or somewhere in the North East! Thank you in advance. Carlos Rodriguez. My email is Charlietwoone@msn.com
