The funeral service for Ranger Mike Kentes, E-75th (RANGER), will be held at the Old Chapel at Fort Meyer at 3 PM Tuesday, 21 February 2012, followed by burial in Arlington Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Fort Meyer Officer's Club. If you do not have a military ID, the only entry point to Fort Meyer is the Route 50 entrance, just north of the Navy Annex. The Marshall Road gate (closer to
Roslyn) is also available. You may be delayed for 10 or 15 minutes because they search cars at the gate and they can get backed up. They can give you directions to the Old Chapel at the gate.
The night before the funeral, Feb 20th (which is the Federal holiday for President's day) we are having a memorial service for Mike at the Eagle Lodge in Alexandria from 6-9pm. The address is 1015 Cameron Street, Alexandria, Va.
22314 The phone number is 703 548-1362. LTC (Chaplain) Steven Berry, The former 75th Ranger Regiment Chaplain will give an invocation; but the rest of the gathering will be informal, as we are sure Mike would have liked it. Food and drinks will be available.
