 |
Unit Directors Message:
I would like to welcome all past unit members of the 3779 Recon Patrol, V Corps LRRPS, D/17th LRPS and
A/75th Airborne Ranger Company. The First and Last LRRPS. (1961-1974) to the 75th Ranger Regiment
Association web site.
V Corps Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol Company, later to become A/75th Infantry (Airborne Ranger),
was the longest serving DA authorized LRRP/Ranger Company in the US Army.
The USA LRRP Co (ABN) 3779 was activated at Wildflecken, Germany by the 7th Army on 15 Jul 1961 to serve as
V corps LRRP Company in Germany.
It was deactivated on 19 Dec 1974 at Ft. Hood, Texas as Company A, 75th Infantry (Airborne Ranger) where
it was performing Long Range Reconnaissance work for the 1st Cavalry Division.
Would like for you to browse through the 75th RRA web site and sign the guest book and post your comments,
maybe you can find an old Ranger buddy or two. Also would encourage you to join the 75th RRA as it is a
fine organization to belong to and you will have many happy hours speaking to old comrades, not to mention
the fine Patrolling Magazine that is sent out 4 times a year. The cost of magazine alone is worth the cost
of membership.
Also A/75th Rangers has its own Web site that is free to join with no dues at anytime. You just have to
contact Tom Brizendine at Tdbriz@gulftel.com. Tom is the list owner and he will be happy to process your application. This list applies to 3779,V Corps LRRPS, D/17th LRPS and A Company 75th Inf. Rangers only.
Note: A/75th list is a close list and only past unit members of 3779, V Corps LRRPS, D/17th LRPS and A
Company 75th Airborne Rangers are allow to join.
