	UNIT DIRECTOR - Dave Flores     (Dave's Message)

Unit Directors Message:

Welcome to the 1st Infantry Division, LRRP Company page, our company has been having a reunion since 1993. Our numbers at these reunions has grown over the years. We hope that this trend continues and that others will see our web-site. As the latest Unit Director, I have had two brothers contact me via e-mail. One was the company’s First Sergeant, Jim Morton. The other was Vaughn Isaacs, (CHIEF) to us that knew him. These two guys brought back memories that made me laugh. It also made me smile because I knew they were OK now. Those names always came up at our reunions.

Finding our brothers in arms helps us in other ways. To know they are OK, piecing together our units history, and learning about things that happened before and after you were there. During my time I saw the company split in half, they went to Pho Loi for awhile, wall lockers included. The company area was moved. These are just a few of the things that happened and I know there are more. I believe that this history building helps us all. It makes us try to remember those things that happened back at the company area, not just when we were out in the field. The times when we would go to the “VILL”, or the PX, or maybe that trip to Saigon for a little fun.

So what’s my message?  Our company reunions and this web-site are good things. Life is filled with memories, good and bad. Having our brothers find us and send an e-mail to say hi is great. Hoping to see them at our next reunion is like Christmas coming for a kid.

So make an effort to go those reunions, send the e-mail to your brother in arms. Help build your company’s history, from those that served.
